Oh, yes! I know first hand the struggles of being sleep deprived, not knowing what to do next and even questioning my sanity while taking care of two little ones. It was not fun at all!

Thankfully, I found help and not only my life but my view of parenting changed.

WHAT IS PAEDIATRIC SLEEP COACHING?

A paediatric Sleep Coach provides advice and education regarding the sleeping habits of children. Their aim is to improve your child's sleeping patterns and set the fundation for a healthy sleep hygiene.

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO SEE CHANGES?

We typically see improvements during the first days of working together. However, this will greatly depend on how we apply the changes, how consistent you are and your child’s temperament.

DOES IT MEAN I HAVE TO LET MY CHILD CRY IT OUT?

No, you won’t need to cry-it-out, nor it’s what I advocate for. Instead, I believe we parents are an important piece of the equation when we are present and supporting our little human through connection and co-regulation.

WHAT METHOD WOULD YOU USE?

There is no one-size-fits-all sleep solution, after proper assessment I offer personalised sleep training methods aimed to fit your own family dynamic, child’s temperament and preferences, sometimes even combining different methods in one plan.

HOW SOON CAN I START SLEEP TRAINING?

Sleep training per-se is only recommended for babies around the 6 monh of age, it can be earlier only if shown signs of being developmentally ready. However, it is possible to establish the bases of healthy sleep habits from the day your baby comes home from the hospital, with routines and practices besides putting in practice coping mechanisms for that 4th trimester.

DO I HAVE TO STOP BREASFEEDING?

No, you won’t need to stop breastfeeding to improve your child sleep as breastfeeding and sleep health can coexist!

CAN YOU GARENTEE NO TEARS?

I believe that babies cry as a form of communication. We do aim to have less tears possible by implementing different ways to interact and connect and making sure your child needs are met. It's important to keep in mind that amount of crying will greatly depend on your child temperament and how consistent you are through the program.
